I just returned from my AMAZING! Trip to Japan/Singapore!
Im so sad i didnt spend more time in Singapore... anyways i start my journal updates on my activitiee soon!

I should have written it on the trains xD doi! But oh well ill do it now x3

It was amazing and so releasing. Not in a "I went on a trip and found myself" way but more like a great change of pace kind of way...

I had some depressive episodes on my trip but overall very fun. Now that Im back I hope I can keep up the good spirit. Even when I do get episodes I hope that i can manage it by generally trying to keep up routines i developed on my trip! Huzzah!

Saw lots of things i feel inspiring too! Also lots of tkrb!

I think i saved myself from going feral on merch by being into MDZS the most rn and also having to move soon... but i did A3 blind box (ouch). Tkrb stuff was more about the experience so Im safe hehe.

Hello, I wrote my first fic! Not much to say about it but I tried...
Also wow people who read fics are so nice. I've never received so many comments on something I've made. That's like, 6 comments but hey it feels nice okay... And now also a little pressured since I know ppl are reading. But I'm excited to write the next part!! I wrote the beginning and end really quickly but the actual contents of the play is gonna. Maybe take me a while...

Summary
It’s the middle of the Sunshot campaign, and Nie Huaisang finds a Qishan civilian play about a certain demonic cultivator and his cohorts... Wei WuXian, Lan WangJi, Jiang Cheng, Jin ZiXuan and Nie Huaisang end up stealing into the theater for fun- ah-- intel by sitting down to experience it themselves. The playwright either exercised their creative liberties or were misinformed, but the play is going different kinds of wrong, including implications of a cut-sleeve slow-burn "based on real life" story!

(Will spoil canon from flashbacks/backstory in MDZS which is to say. You should read it first!)
Inspired by Avatar S3 E27 – The Ember Island Players

You can also read it on AO3.

So I made a poor health decision and decided to binge SVSSS all night... A lot of people say they prefer this over MDZS which I loved so I wanted to give it a shot! The initial chapters, like other novels really didn't capture me so I had to force myself to continue but (also as usual) I couldn't put it down when the ball started rolling.

Scum Villain Self-Saving System by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
Translation by ExR

This novel is about Shen Yuan, an avid reader who is transmigrated into a totally cliche and trashy novel's villain, Shen QingQiu. The novel follows the hero Luo Binghe as he transforms from a meek disciple into an OP ruthless demon hell-bent on revenge with a huge harem of girls. Most importantly, he brutally murders the his scummy cultivation master, Shen QingQiu!

Shen Yuan is forced to cooperate with the "System", an otherworldly function that wants him to improve the shitty plot-hole-riddled story while in-character, and follow the main story points to push Luo Binghe into hell. Little does Shen Yuan know, Luo Binghe's relationship with "Shen QingQiu" has changed in a certain way due to his change of character...

Currently I'm planning a trip to Japan!
It's my reward for graduating haha...
Very lucky to have some help paying for it as a gift fro my parents.

Will be heading over there in February :3
It's been so hard to plan! There are a lot of things that I want to do that I just won't be able to.

For example I'm really interested in going to Ainu culture things because one of my best friends has some heritage and I really like the style of their traditional designs... but it is SO difficult to find museums and stores and information about Ainu that are accessible!! D:
The best places are too far in the countryside (ie the bus comes once a day...), or are just too far from my itinerary (8+hours one way by shinkansen)..... and the killer is that the ones that fit perfectly are closed for renovation but open just weeks after I leave xD AGH!!!

There are a few restaurants I can visit and a small part of museum but it's just not the same... I suppose it's also a symptom of Ainu culture generally not being well known and suppressed by Japan. Very sad! :( Hopefully one day I'll be able to come out here again in a different season.
I'd like to buy some art-pieces but I just don't think it's possible for me to go out there without a car and I am not renting a car.

I was really surprised even in Japan that Ainu people are not well known. I suppose that coming from an area where I was given a lot of education about the indigenous tribes in my area, somehow I must have stumbled onto a little bit of information on them? I honestly can't remember. It was before around 7th grade for me, because I remember playing Okami PS2 and thinking Kamui was a lot like Ainu stuff. I think it's cool Golden Kamuy has raised general interest in Ainu culture. I read a little bit of it, but only a few chapters. Basically enough to know what it is lol.

In general I'm super excited. I have 3 weeks there and then almost a week in Singapore, then it's back home~

I don't have much to do personally right now and searching for job has been hard ><
Also feeling some frustrations in my social life right now... feeling like I'm being ignored sucks. But the good news is that I also made up with someone else and I have plans to see some friends I haven't seen in forever! So incredible to retain friendships in far away places, thanks to the internet :3

just feeling awful right now :(
so many words but none that work.

it's just really hard being really depressed and still job searching.

I've been in such a slump since I've graduated (and it's been.... a bit...) and still struggling to work on any projects. The burn-out and depression hit hard

But recently I feel really inspired to work on this. It's nice to have friends who are working towards their dreams. I also think that reading novels has helped a lot too. I'm not sure how!!
But I really feel like working on my original stuff. Like some projects I started in middle-high school. They're not good, but I feel like that was I time I loved developing ideas

Maybe it's a change of pace? And maybe it's because I've actually been reading something that moves my heart. Like I consume a lot of media and it's good stuff but I feel like it's been read it and forget it. It's been so long since I've read something that moved my heart...

asjf;df Not since TKRB really. I mean TKRB fanwork anyways

I kind of feel like making videos or writing out my Mutsu headcanons too.

Yes... I finally caught up to the hype haha.

On a fleeting whim I decided to try out the novel and was entranced. Love, love, loved it! You can really see how much planning the author MXTX put into it and I love me some complex characters. I love having visuals (and so many things are amazing unsaid), but novels just have so much room to put in other details! This novel has so many things I love about stories so it's definitely going on my shelf, although I can't understand the original text it literally scratches all my itches. The line between angst and edge is tricky and it pretty much nailed it for me! I can definitely see my tastes now aha.

I do so hope that it gets an official English release one day! In the mean time I already went and snapped up some official merchandise. The worst thing about missing a fandom in its heyday is missing out on the convention artist alley opportunities to get merch haha... especially since the copyright control on this series is so tight. I'm definitely looking to get art though! I have already scoured for the audio dramas and donghua/live drama soundtracks as well haha!

Today I finished reading a novel! I liked reading it, although it was a distraction from things I needed to do (well it also distracted me from my depressive thoughts so hey!). Been slowly getting through it for the last week or so.
It's called Lessons on Raising a Partner written by Ācí Gūniáng.
The translation is by ExR.

Basically the story is a big sci-fi space opera!

The story follows an elf-cum-baby grass plant named Hai'an. Something goes awry during his magical rite of age passage and he is transmigrated to the body of a cute little seeding in a different world.

There he comes to be owned by a retired marshall named Auguste, and is taken to explore a space-age. Auguste is actually a dragon, and he currently searching for the others of his race. While caring for his cute little plant, Auguste finds that it is quite intelligent and begins falling in love with the plant Hai'an.

It's weird to see the ML fall for a plant but hey! Open mind open heart-- right? They do point out that plants can have personalities and IQs, it's still odd but at least we know the mc is technically an elf. Plus Hai'an is so cute as a plant (oh no could my perversion be getting that much stranger...)

Andddd opops I accidentally deleted an entire portion with a lot of my dedtailed thoughts...
